Sharon Snel joined the Port Angeles Symphony in 1985 when she and her husband Nico moved to the area. She is currently principal flute of Port Angeles Symphony and has been principal of the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra for the past 35 years. Prior to locating in Port Angeles, she was principal flute of the Idaho State Symphony. Her primary flute instructors were Eugene Foster (Utah Symphony), Scott Goff (Seattle Symphony) and Felix Skowronek, professor of flute at the University of Washington. Other classes were with Louis Moyse, Patricia George, Sheridan Stokes (UCLA professor of flute and L.A. studio musician), and the great Julius Baker (New York Philharmonic).

Otto Eifert was principal bassoonist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for 26 years. He has served on the faculties of the College Conservatory of Music University of Cincinnati, New England Conservatory of Music, and Boston University. |
