Composition is now available at Olympic Music School with the addition of Linda Dowdell to the faculty. She is a published composer who is also a gifted teacher. Read more about her on the piano page.

 

Olympic Music School has a computer lab equipped with a midi keyboard where students can work on note reading using programs such as Music Ace™.  With Sibelius™ and Finale™, students can learn how to compose!  The lab allows the student to hear his/her compositions.  We often save the midi files and e-mail them to students' parents to hear at home.  It is also possible for students to take home a CD of their projects.  The computer lab is available to all students studying at the school for no additional cost.
